WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH YOUR FREEDOM?

The BabyBuddha is the smallest portable battery operated pump on the market; hands-free, lightweight, portable and powerful, it gives you the freedom to pump how, where and when you choose.

VERSION EXPLANATIONS

There have been three BabyBuddha versions.

  • Version 1.0 is the very first pump BabyBuddha released - super strong!
  • Version 1.5 is a slightly gentler version than version 1.0.
  • Version 2.0 (Trackball) is BabyBuddha's 2024 released version, which now includes an additional setting, lowering each level in stimulation mode by 20% while maintaining the top end strength for moms who like that power.  This adjustment increases the suction power range from 53-320 mmHg.  They have also reduced the long pull suction strength by 20% in stimulation mode.  These changes should satisfy even the most sensitive users.
  • Version 2.0 (Trackpad) is BabyBuddha's 2025 released version, which is actually the same as Version 2.0 in functionality, but it features the new trackpad which replaces the previous trackball.  This is their latest version.

INTELLIGENT, HASSLE-FREE DESIGN

The BabyBuddha has been designed with busy mums in mind. There are no complicated controls, it is super lightweight and truly portable.

It can be charged with any standard USB cable port and all its components are compatible with other market-leading brands, so you can create the perfect pumping partnership for your needs.

It has also been designed to be discreet and safe, with a quiet pumping mechanism, 100% BPA-free construction and a closed system to prevent milk contamination.

You can find out more about this amazing pump below.

STRONGEST SUCTION ON THE MARKET

Even though it is tiny, the BabyBuddha is also mighty. In fact, the BabyBuddha Double and Single Electric Breast Pump has a suction strength of 320 mmHg, making it the strongest, battery-powered pump currently on the market.

I'm an exclusive pumper and post breast reduction mama. I pump around 75-100% of baby's supply depending on cluster feeding. This is hands down the strongest suction on the market. Incredibly affordable. Can be hacked to work with anything, even the Legendairy Milk collection cups (I avoid cups because breast massage is essential for my let downs/complete emptying). I prefer my Medela Symphony parts (most hospitals get you started with this pump before discharge if you ask for a pump while in the hospital and you take the parts home - kits include colostrum collection cups now!!!) with duckbill valves. I absolutely have to use the Pumpin' Pals flanges on this to be comfortable while pumping. You definitely need to make sure you are measured and sized into very comfortable flanges because the suction is so strong. Pumping spray is also a game changer in terms of comfortable pumping. The Medela Symphony and Spectra S1/S2 with Comfort Fit Flex flanges tie as second best in terms of being hospital grade with excellent suction, and I still use these pumps, but the Baby Buddha empties me in half the time and is completely hands free (the Medela pumping bustier and the Kindred Bravely Sublime pumping bras are the bomb!). The set up makes power pumping sessions a breeze. Hopefully future models will allow for more personalized settings in terms of independent cycles and vacuum adjustments, but ultimately not sure if it'd change anything given how great the suction is. Also I agree with other reviewers who mention to rolling the ball down during the let down mode to prevent the long draw until your breasts/nipples "warm up." If I could only have one pump, it'd be this one. I think it's fine even if you're a newbie as long as you do the things above to ensure optimal comfort! P.S. If lactation nurses discourage pumping because of a "risk" over oversupply - kindly ignore that because it's a LOT easier to dial back oversupply than try to recover under supply, ESPECIALLY for mamas who have had breast reductions, have short maternity leave, and/or work long hours etc. Also ignore the, sadly often perpetuated, myth that pumps can't empty the breasts as well as babies. This is patently false if you dial in the right pumping supplies and techniques. Highly recommend the ExclusivePumping.com resources even if your nursing and pumping. Sadly had to teach myself all this too late in the game with my first, but with my second, starting ahead of the curve and proud to exclusively pump a full supply for my little guy!

This is honestly the best pump I’ve ever purchased. I can’t use any other pump anymore because no other pump is as effective and efficient at milk removal. The suction is strong but it wasn’t too strong for me since I generally used other pumps on their max setting. I definitely recommend you switch to letdown mode right away so you can get warmed up for the long pull in stimulation. I love that it’s small enough to fit in your pocket and it comes with a lanyard to put around your neck. Being able to move around and not compromise on suction and efficiency is amazing. It’s not the quietest pump, but I wouldn’t say it is obnoxiously loud, it’s definitely more quiet than the spectra.

I personally love how strong this is but I realize everyone is built differently. I have willow go, spectra s1, and modela harmony hand pump but so far I am loving the baby Buddha the best due to the suction strength because it gets that last little bit out to fully empty me in 10min! However, I’m not in my first week of pumping so I can see how it would have hurt quite a bit had this been my first pump. This is definitely a down the road pump on the breastfeeding journey (I’d say after maybe the first month). Willow go is nice for portability but it doesn’t do the job well and actually has caused me to have painful clogged ducts 3 times now, is annoying to clean and none of the parts can be sterilized, pouring the milk from it is difficult, and it is heavy and bulky so it falls down in my bra often. Also it is hard to see if you have it positioned exactly right on the nipple. If you don’t, no milk will flow and you waste a lot of time. The wearables like the willow go are made for use once your supply is established about 3 months postpartum because their suction is not as strong. This can hurt your supply if you use it in the beginning months postpartum. The spectra works better to empty than the willow go and has a stronger pull to help empty more out but it takes twice as long as the baby Buddha and just isn’t strong enough for me anymore. I have gained about 20% more so far with the baby Buddha. I also like the different type of suction pattern that the baby Buddha has where it does 10 short tugs and one long one for the stimulation mode. The downside is that you cannot adjust the cycle and vacuum independently like you can on the spectra. The most annoying part about the baby Buddha for me is that you can only order the original spare parts directly from their website (not on Amazon). They take 7 days to arrive and cost over $50 if you buy the flanges, bottles, and covers. I’m also having some issues with the rolling ball button on the pump as sometimes it’s difficult to get it to scroll to high levels quickly enough (especially at 3am) but I do like that there are only two buttons on the instrument for simplicity. This is still my main go to pump though by far due to its portability and strength. UPDATE: my supply had tanked last month so badly that I was down to only getting about half an ounce every two hours due to using the willow go too early postpartum and not pumping enough at night which was why I looked for a new pump and now am up to 2.5oz every 2hrs and it is increasing every day! I think it is because this pump is emptying me each time, signaling to my body to make more. This pump saved my supply!

I just got this pump and tried it out. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I don’t like the flanges. The insert isn’t comfortable and the flange size is to big when I took them out. I bought pump cups though to go with it. It did empty me as far as I can tell in about 10 minutes where as my spectra takes 20. It’s loud but smaller than I expected. I don’t understand the stimulation mode. It just sucks your nipple off out of nowhere. It does gentle vibrating suction then just sucks super hard. It took me by surprise and I probably will skip stimulation mode. Even at a 1 it’s very powerful. I can do a full pump at level 2. I love the portability and the strength. I will be using it a lot more than just when I leave the house just bc of how powerful it is.

I needed to be able to pump on the go and after trying several other pumps, I tried the baby Buddha and LOVE it! I haven’t used my spectra in a week because the baby Buddha me better and faster than the spectra does! My average daily output has increased too! Highly recommend! **just a warning: it does have really strong suction, so you may not want it if that’s not something you can handle

I can’t say good enough things about the BB. I am an exclusive pumper and I use this thing as my main pump. It empties much faster and efficiently vs my spectra s2. Bonus is that it’s also a powerful and portable pump which is hard to find! Beware it is very strong if you’re sensitive however I think that’s one part about it I like because no one wants to be stuck to a wall for 30 min !

I received it several days ago and sterilized all parts that night. I used it twice yesterday and was so impressed, I am thinking about purchasing another to keep at work. My daughter is almost 4 mos old and pumping is the part I dislike about breastfeeding. This pump makes me think I could do it longer than 6 months. I would love to go a year, but it is difficult with work and I am a low producer so my daughter only nurses in the early morning and then wants to drink from a bottle. The initial simulation mode is interesting - all the women who said watch out for the long pull weren’t joking. I wasn’t quite prepared for it and to be honest, it hurts when it happens. My nipple seems to get pinched right at the end. However, I can see how that can really help get things going and contribute to proper emptying. I had missed a pump session at the end of my workday and was a little engorged when I got home so I was eager to try it for the first time. In 30 minutes, it sufficiently emptied my breasts and produced a much higher output than usual - maybe double. I thought that may just be due to engorgement. However, I had a shorter period between that and my (next) last pump of the night and I got just as much as I normally do at my last session, which would not typically happen with my pump sessions being that close together with my spectra. I will admit, my nipples were not quite ready for the second pump session so I didn’t stay in simulation mode and went straight into expression mode. Had I remained in the former mode for a short while, I would bet my output would have been greater. Overall, I am very pleased with this pump. Portability is fantastic, charging is a breeze and cleanup is moderate - slightly more parts than the spectra, but not enough of a detractor to not recommend this pump. It’s a closed system too - have to love that. One tip - make sure you have the valve opening pointed outward so they properly empty into the bottles. I had placed one improperly pointed in toward me and the milk was not flowing into the bottle due to the wrong angle. I woke up the next morning after my first two pump sessions the night before with this pump and there is a noticeable difference. My husband even noted that my left breast was ‘huge’ as compared to my right. I could see it sagging quite a bit more due to being filled up over night. I can confidently say that this pump emptied me far more efficiently than my spectra. I have a Spectra S1 and S2 (one at home, one at work). I used them through my first bf journey and wasn’t able to find anything better for my second child...until now. Sorry Spectra, you are now second on my list as I just can’t compare the efficiency of emptying my breasts and portability to the baby Buddha. In terms of loudness, I would say they are both similar - I don’t feel this is any more quiet than the spectra. In fact, it may seem more loud just because it is closer to your body, but it isn’t a big deal. I have pumped through meetings and conference calls with the spectra and wouldn’t hesitate to do the same with this. Buy this pump and do yourself a favor and read the instructions while you are sterilizing - do not just hook up and figure it out on the fly. Your nipples will thank you. I tried with and without the silicone covers and given the suction on this unit, the silicone covers are necessary. Understand the modes, how to switch between them and how it will go on automatic initially if you don’t manually change the setting or speed. Overall, great product. So glad to see a portable unit on the market that meets all the demands I could hope for. I love that I can choose to go between simulation and expression mode however I please too. Highly recommend this pump!

My baby is in the NICU and I pump every 3 hours. I had a momcozy hands free but had trouble getting proper positioning of the pump and trouble with flange size. I got this pump and the adapter to use my hospital medela flanges and it has made pumping so much easier. Cannot recommend enough and find it really reasonable in price. I like that it’s portable and can move or do things around the house while pumping. It is very strong! Only using lowest setting and works great and a charge lasts for quite a few pumping session.

I bought this out of pocket because (a) a lactation consultant had recommended it to me to use in lieu of a wearable and (b) I needed to travel while breastfeeding. My other pump is a Spectra S2, which I have an external battery pack on to make it portable. Pros of this device: (1) It's small. carrying your pump and cooler and whatnot is still a pain, but at least this thing is pocket-sized. (2) It's powerful. Maybe *too* powerful for some, but I'd rather have it be a tad too aggressive than to risk my supply (3) It charges via USB-C. Who doesn't have some of those cords lying around? (it comes with one as well) Cons: (1) The battery doesn't last as long as I'd assumed. The battery goes down after maybe 2 pumping sessions. The manual says it lasts for "2 to 4" sessions and also says to not overcharge it, so it's not like you can leave it in at night or whatnot (or risk degrading the battery, I assume). If I were to take this on a long plane ride or on an international trip, I would probably carry an external battery to be safe. My external battery on my Spectra goes for days without being recharged (though it's probably bigger than the whole pump of the BabyBuddha, so I get it). You CAN use it while charging and you can just plug it in while using as well, but of course this drastically decreases the pro of having it be portable. (2) The letdown mode is not great. It's 10 short suctions (which are fine) and 1 long and VERY aggressive one. It's painful. I switch on and off after the short suctions to avoid the long one, which is annoying. I know they have gotten this feedback for years, so I'm not sure why they haven't modified it in this time. (3) It's loud. I'd say at least twice as loud as my Spectra. (4) The parts that need to be replaced are not standard. It comes with the extra duckbill membranes, and it looks like "Motif Medical" makes the membranes on the top (that look like little bowls). However, they don't have the kind of knockoff parts like a Spectra. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I am considering getting collection cups as well, but I haven't so far. The biggest pain for me is the battery life.

I went through a couple different pumps before I found this one. I used the medela pump in style, but would have terrible suction when I tried double pumping (and frankly the suction single pumping wasn't all that great either). I tried the Elive wearable pumps- which I loved when they worked, but unfortunately this was only about 50% of the time, at best and I ended up wasting A LOT of time at work trying to troubleshoot issues with these. I was searching for something that was portable and handsfree so I could keep up with my busy work schedule while still doing the best I can for my baby. I got the babybuddah this week and I am so happy I did. Pro's: 1. The suction is strong. To the other comments here- I agree- it is an intense sensation on the nipples at first, but you get used to it about a minute into the pumping session. I need a pump with strong suction to fully express without also having to do breast massage like I did with the medela PISA and my manual pump. 2. It pumps fast- I get the same amount in less than 10 minutes it took the Elvie's to get in a half hour or more. 3. It is adaptable - I am using it with my medela parts because they are less bulky than the babybuddah collection system. I also like that I would be able to try this with a more discrete collection system- like the freemie cups if I want to in the future. 4. It is super portable- the little pump on its lanyard is light around my neck and I can actually do things around the house and at work in my office without losing suction or leaking like I did with the Elvie's. Of course I can't bend over too far or do any yoga or acrobatics, but I am amazed at how much more I can comfortably do with these. 5. It is relatively affordable- at $200. The Elvie's and Willow's are upwards of $500. Con's: 1. the tubing can be a little cumbersome and not nearly as sleek looking and discrete as the Elvie's 2. Battery issues? I've yet to have any, but from reading the previous comments and instruction manual, I am being careful not to leave it charging for more than 3 hours. This may be problematic in the future given the chaos of working 10 hours a day and caring for my baby all evening and night might lead me to forget it is plugged in once in awhile. 3. the pump kit on comes with size 24 mm breast shields. if you are a different size, you have to order them separately, directly from their website (for about only $20). it would be good if they either came with a couple sizes or let you determine which size you needed with your kit when ordering it. As I said above, I was able to get my medela parts to work with it easily, so this wasn't a major issue. ...and that's it for the con's. The pro's vastly outweigh them, in my opinion. It's hard enough being a working mom and breastfeeding. It's awesome to have actually found a pumping system that is making my life easier, rather than harder. I am very impressed with this pump and would recommend to any mom who needs an easy, reliable, hands-free option.

I’m an exclusive pumper, so a good pump is obviously essential. I’ve tried several (spectra, Medela, bella baby) and this one is by far my favorite, and has become my main pump. It has very strong suction and empties me faster than my spectra. Highly recommend! Just make sure to get a flange insert (maymom makes good ones) to get the correct flange fit.

I wish I could give it 10 stars! I personally believe Babybuddha is best pump on the market. It truly empties so fast, it’s unbelievable, like by 10 minutes I could be done with my pumping session. I bought the Phanpy wearable cups when I want to be hands free and it works fantastically. I was struggling with my milk supply after using the Momcozy M5’s a bunch early on (apparently you’re supposed to wait like 3 months post-partum before using wearable pumps which I didn’t know) and it tanked my supply because those pumps are not strong and not efficient at milk removal. Not to mention my output had been 15 minutes with my Spectra S1 and then after the Momcozy’s, it started taking me 30+ mins to get even a decent amount of milk compared to what I was. I then also bought the Pumpables Genie Advanced and I hated it :/ finally I got this one and it is different from all the other pumps. The expression mode is like 9 gentle quick pulls and then 1 long one on the 10th, it’s a little intense at the very beginning but it gets a lot of milk out and fast. It’s so worth it, and if you’re really sensitive to it, you can just keep it on the soft pulls by rolling the ball button down before it gets to the 10th pull and once you’re warmed up you can let it go as normal. If you’re a “just enougher” and are searching for some magical pump to help your milk supply, this is seriously it. I’m so happy 🥰 it’s also hackable to work with basically all flanges and cups.

I didn't expect to like this pump as much as I do, even though I read really great reviews online. The suction on this is really strong. The flanges are either a 24 or 27, so I use inserts. I found that with the inserts I use, the suction is still strong but doesn't hurt at all. I'm a first time mom and I've probably ordered too many pumps, just trying to see what works best. It seems like a tie between the baby buddha and my spectra for the most efficient milk removal. What I love most about this pump, though, is that I have the ability to multitask. The only two downsides to it are the noise level (it's marketed as quiet and that couldn't be further from the truth), and that the tubes sometimes get stuck on handles or random household things, lol. The tubes getting stuck really isn't a manufacturing issue, but be mindful of those tubes when you're doing things around the house! Overall, I really like this pump and would recommend it.

****This item up above is not the item I purchased. I purchased the baby buddah pump by baby buddah. **** I was looking for a pump that would travel easily. I have a spectra s2 which I like but is large and doesn't have a battery. Pros: I like the let down/pump modes, I found them very effective when pumping both sides. I like the size, it easily fits around my neck and I can walk around the house. It hold enough of a charge for me to pump at least four times before charging. (Probably more but I charge after four so I wont worry about running out of power). The valve part on the bottom of the flange piece is interchangeable with the medela ones which is nice. I like the system of the diaphragm in the top. I have used it with my spectra back flow protectors and medela necks with pumpin pals flanges. The pump has a nice long pull for every two short let downs and there is five levels of this. The auto cycling through these five modes makes it easy to just hit power and go. I found the roller ball easy to use to navigate between these levels. It also comes with a handy "string" back pack to carry it in, caps for the flanges and bases to hold the bottles. Buying good pumping bra makes it totally hands free. Note: my spectra bottles fit on this pump and I think the Mam might as well. I do wish the bottles were bigger. *the company now offers bigger bottles and different flange sizes! Cons: The flanges only come in one size which is too small for me but....my pumpin pals set of flanges plug into these (after removing the silicone massagers) so it works. My other issue is when trying to pump one side the pump will suckle, suckle, pull and then not release. It doesn't do this when pumping both and I'm not sure what is going on. I can switch it back to double for it to release and then back t ok single but then I have to do that after every pull so I cant use it in single set up. Overall I am happy with this pump and would recommend it. I would be better if they offered different flange sizes. It would also be better if I could use it to pump one side at a time.

This little device has drastically improved the quality of my daily life. My little lady had severe ties, and couldn't transfer well at all. So pumping and bottles were a necessity. Then at five weeks she started getting symptoms of laryngomalacia, just as breastfeeding was starting to go better, she began to struggle at the bottle and at the breast, and with reflux and choking. So I thought we were done with pumping and bottles, and we had to bring them right back in. And my mom had left, so I was on my own during the day. Trying to figure out how to care for a newborn while trying to breastfeed, offer bottles, and pump attached to tubing attached to a wall was seriously difficult. It was so hard, and I was having to get up to pump during the night while she slept because I couldn't physically get in enough sessions in the day. This pump changed the game. I have to use 15 mm flanges, so I use the maymom flanges that are compatible with my Medela peices. So all I needed to get where the maymom long stem back flow protectors, and the Buddha Baby is then compatible with all my Medela peices I've already bought. So it's hardly any tubing, and I can just tuck this little guy into my pumping bra and BOOM I'm mobile! I can go grab a snack, go get something for baby, and not easily care for her when all the tubing is tucked away and I don't need to worry about accidently pulling it out. Not to mention it's POWER. This pump is stronger than my Spectra S2. It's better than my Medela Symphony. It can get the job done in 12 minutes that took 20-25 on those pumps. I goes up to level 9 on the suction, and I rarely go past 3 max. It did take some adjustment at first, even on level 1 it was stronger than my symphony on half power. It isn't quite as graceful as the big pumps, but what it lacks in finesse it makes up for in efficiency, and a bit of coconut oil in the flanges makes for a smooth pumping experience. So not only am I mobile, but I don't have to pump as long. I pump 7-8 times a day, and this pump easily lasts for 5-6 sessions on a full charge. When I used it for a full 24 hour period my nipples were a tad sore, so I do 1-2 sessions a day on my Spectra. But that is also combined with a few nursing sessions too, and my baby's latch isn't great, so I can't even fully attribute that to the pump, it's most likely the combination. But I've been able to ge the same or better output then my Medela Symphony, which I can now return! Being able to just sit in the bed and hook this thing up quickly and be done in 15 minutes has made my days so much better. I'm not sure how long my little lady will need me to pump, but having this pump makes that future look much brighter. I have ordered the freemie cups to try with this, I'll defintely update with how that goes! Thank you to the creators of this product, I was so worried 8 would have to sacrifice power for mobility, which I so often see in reviews on other mobile pumps. Not this pump!

Any mom that has pumped knows what a time sucker it is. It takes away from my family time and it also takes away from getting things done around the house. I can't even count how many times I have said, "sorry, I have to pump." Being stuck to a plug for 40 minutes at a time every 2 to 3 hours was excruciating for me. I have a 5yo, 3yo and 6mo old that need mommy throughout the day. I have been looking at different pumps this whole time, trying to figure out which would be best. I was really looking at the Freemies Liberty pump and this one. I really wanted the Freemie cups so that I could be 100% mobile and hands free. I went to Wal-Mart (only place in town that had them) and bought the cups to try with my Spectra and see if they would work for me. I was super happy with them and knew that I had to get a mobile pump. Social media is a very powerful tool and I was seeing a lot of rave reviews in my mommy group about this pump and watched Elisabeth with One Ounce at a Time do a good review and was sold! I have had this pump for over a week now. I have only tried the flanges once. I don't own a pumping bra and so double pumping sucks. And pumping with flanges hanging off your chest is a pain in the butt if you're doing dishes, cooking or doing laundry. This is why I use Freemies. It was easy to "hack" since I already have a medela, spectra and the Freemie. I used my backflow protectors and I haven't used any other pump since. I love how it empties me in half the time that my spectra did. I love how I can truly do anything while pumping now. When my baby cries I can pick her up and soothe her. I can take a poop while pumping now. 😂😂😂😂 I'm finally getting caught up on months of housework that I didn't have time for before I got the BabyBuddha. Annnnnd the best thing, for me, about this pump is that it has increased my supply. I went from not making enough to making 5 to 10oz extra per day. This is a big deal to me. The first 2 to 3 days I used it my nipples were a little more sore than usual, but they're always a tad sore while pumping. They are actually less sore now than they were using my Spectra and way less sore than when using my Medela. I do have a couple critiques: 1) It's louder than my Spectra, but quieter than my Medela. 2) I wish it had a faster suck pattern for a setting. Similar to level one in stimulation mode but stronger? 3) Different valves. The spectra valves work, though 😉 4) Belt clip or adjustable lanyard. Even with these things, it is the best pump I have used and have recommended it to many other milky mama's. It really has changed my pumping journey and I will be devastated if it were to die. ALSO, customer service is superb! I thought my pump did actually mess up and emailed the company. One of the owners called me back within an hour and was super friendly and helpful and we ended up talking for 15 minutes about the pump and his story (it's a good one). It was my error by the way - I forgot to put the valves on hahaha. I am so grateful for this pump and hope that more are available soon. I'm extra grateful I got it before it sold out. 😁😁😁

BEST PUMP OUT THERE!! If you’ve heard of the Baby Buddha, yes you know the suction power is strong. I pump on level 2 expression the whole time and get more out than with any other pump in half the time. What isn’t talked about as much is that this pump does not have vibration like other pumps. I used other hospital grade pumps that did the have vibration and it drove me nuts. I also love that the pump is portable. It’s small enough that I can put it in the pockets of my leggings and pump while getting things done. I don’t use any other pump now.

Love it ! Such a powerful pump, as powerful as my medela symphony rental - I used it with the freemie cups and it’s great.
