Fitting Your Pump

The correct flange or insert fit is an absolute must for a safe and comfortable breastfeeding journey. A breast pump flange, commonly known as a breast shield, is a funnel-shaped plastic or silicone piece that fits directly over your nipple to form a seal around your areola. It creates a vacuum that gently draws your nipple into the funnel for milk removal.

I know there are mixed reviews on this but for me it works great. The suction is just as strong as with the bottle cups and am able to get just as much milk without the bottle and tubes hanging out. It is definitely more convenient, portable and discreet.

I recently started using the baby buddha, loved the product but hate having giant bottles hanging from my breast. These cups make pumping easier & convenient and they don’t get in the way! This replaced my momcozy pump!

As an exclusive pumping mom, the cups make it much easier to fit in time to pump with a little one without taking away my time with him. The cups are very easy to use and insert. Three cons: 1. Cleaning is more tedious than using the flanges. I store the parts in the fridge and wash it nightly to help with the load, which helps. However when it comes to nighttime, I despise washing all the little parts. 2. Difficult with bigger breasts. My breasts are on the larger side and it feels as though the cups aren’t as efficient as pulling out milk as the flanges. I do use size 17 inserts ( purchased seperately) which has helped. My output is similar but if you are like me and value every 0.5 oz, you may want to use the flange instead. 3. Large cup: even though the cup is great and can sit in your bra, while you feed your baby, cook, or clean bottles, it is still a hefty piece. I still go in the other room when guests are over, and don’t wear it in public, but that is more of a personal preference. Pro tip, don’t bend over and pick up your child while using the cups, the milk will leak out of the pouring spout. If you need to pick up your child, squat and keep your chest upright. Overall love this and it’s great for when I want to pump and bottle feed my baby/ do house chores at the same time; however if I have time, i prefer to use the flanges.

I am currently exclusively pumping while my son is in the NICU. I need a lot of pumping power, so I'm going between the Baby Bhudda and a rented Symphony. Amazingly, I have found that I produce the same with the Buddha as the Symphony, which was not true with my Spectra or my pump in style last time around. The Buddha is less comfortable though. Enter these cups! With these cups the Buddha is more comfortable than and as good as production as the Symphony! And cups that fit in my bra (barely!) are so much better. I have pumped with these while riding a bike! My only gripe is that the cups are huge! It makes it look like I got very little in my pumps until I transfer the milk- and a smaller collection cup would look less ridiculous in my bra. I also wish I could clean them in the dishwasher, but none of the silicone in bra cups can be.

The baby buddha pump is amazing so I couldn’t justify buying a different hands free pump. So the cups were a game changer. The tubes are short & dont really get in the way. They hold 8oz each which I needed. The bottles the pump comes with are only 4oz each. They are easy to clean with only 4/5 parts & easy to pour out. Super comfortable as well.

More discrete and comfortable than the generic milk collection cups. Compatible with my baby Buddha pump. I do notice that the pieces have to be perfectly lined up or suction will not be as good. Slightly finicky. I do notice the plastic quality isn’t fantastic, the branding started to rub off on the cups after just a few washes.

I recently purchased the baby Buddha pump, and I know many people mentioned how other brand cups were compatible, I just didn’t want to take any chances. I’m glad I didn’t, these cups fit perfect and felt so comfortable! It came with other adapters and a drawstring back. I really liked the covers for each pump. I liked it for travel.
